By BellaNaija.com

We are totally loving “Ole“, the debut single from Temisan.
The song is simple yet infectious!
It’s a simple story – boy meets girl; before he knows what’s happening the boy falls for the girl! His heart is gone…so now he calls her “Ole” for stealing his heart.
Temisan is currently signed to Down 2 Earth Records owned by Kevin Pam (Winner of Big Brother Africa 2009) as well as an artiste management deal with BLING Artistry.

Terry G Insults Rapper M.I Over ‘Akpako’ Song Name

If there’s one thing controversial Nigerian pop artiste Terry G takes seriously, it has to be his music. Even though his career has been plagued by multiple disputes and fights, he has managed to make music that has sold and evidently brought him fame.
So when Nigerian commercial rapper M.I tried questioning the origin of the name of one of Terry’s hits songs ‘Akpako’, the pop act reacted negatively.
M.I had taken to his Twitter account to ask ‘Pls.. What does akpako mean?’, he didn’t stop there ‘So apparently.. Terry G alone understands the deep mysteries of akpako..’ @MI_Abaga tweeted.
It didn’t take long for Terry G to react as he was immediately tagged with the tweets by some of his 4000 plus followers. He tweeted back at M.I ‘@MI_Abaga Africa DanGba nomba 1,short dwarf,u 4 try ask me naaa, wat do u fink, chop chicken!!’.
M.I didn’t reply Terry G but one of his loyal followers ‘@Fagsam I didn’t mean any disrespect… I really didn’t know what ‘akpako’ meant.. And then everyone was like terry g terry g..’. Hours later, he tweeted ‘I have nothing but the utmost artistic and personal respect for Terry G…’.
Calls places to Terry G weren’t answered. When we got M.I’s manager, Abuchi for the label’s position on the twitter war between the two artists but he claimed that there was no such thing and he had no idea what it was all about. ‘I’m looking  at my twitter right now and i can’t see  anything like that‘, Abuchi said.
In related news both artistes are about to drop their mixtapes before the year runs out. M.I plans to release ‘Illegal Music 2’, a follow up to ‘Illegal Music 1’ and Terry G has announced he also will be dropping his ‘Lucifer’ mixtape.

Be the Next Calabar Tourism Ambassador! Register for the 5th Edition of the Carnival Calabar Queen Pageant

There’s no denying that striking good looks are some of the elements that define a Beauty Queen. The word “beauty” is in there for a reason but pageants have ceased to be all about a damsel’s vital statistics and the architecture of her countenance.
Carnival Calabar Queen takes the front line in making a difference. This pageantry was initiated by the wife of the Governor of Cross River State Her Excellency Obioma Liyel Imoke. It exists to give a voice to her and  MACA‘s (Mothers Against Child Abandonment)  response to the worrisome spate of child abandonment in the state.
It was found that the act of abandoning babies was most commonly perpetrated by teenagers and there was a need to find a persona these youngsters could easily listen to.
To complement MACA’s copious efforts, she would traverse secondary schools in the state, preaching the virtue of abstaining from sex and educating students on how to avoid unnecessary pressures.
About the Pageantry
Since inception in 2007, the pageant has embarked on a yearly search for a young woman with outstanding intelligence, a model of selflessness, one who would stand strong in the face of a challenge.
Having sailed through auditions held in various parts of the country, the most worthy applicants go into a camp where they observe stringent rules and are subjected to rigorous exercises like aerobics, choreography and costume making. This precedes the grand finale.
This search has led to the discovery of four amazing ladies;
