Dencia

Reports coming to us from the ongoing Nigerian Hip Hop World Awards (HEADIES) being held tonight at the Eko Hotel and Suites, suggest that starlet Dencia was attacked by a female as she made her way to the restrooms.

Our sources tell us that the lady identified as Liz Garvy, socialite and Lagos big girl who owns a shop on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi was a one time friend of the starlet. Liz had in the past abused the friendship they shared to the point where the police got involved and a warrant for her arrest was issued on charges of theft.

On further investigation, it appears sometime in October last year, Liz Garvy who was scheduled to undergo a liposuction in California , arrived Dencia’s Woodland Hills , California, home where she was hosted by the latter for 3 weeks.

Coroner: Amy Winehouse Died From Too Much Alcohol

Soul diva Amy Winehouse died with empty vodka bottles in her room and lethal amounts of alcohol in her blood — more than five times the British drunk driving limit — a British coroner ruled Wednesday.
Soul diver, Army Winehouse
Coroner Suzanne Greenaway gave a verdict of “death by misadventure,” saying the singer died of accidental alcohol poisoning when she resumed drinking after weeks of abstinence.

“The unintended consequence of such potentially fatal levels (of alcohol) was her sudden and unexpected death,” the Associated Press quoted Greenaway as saying.

The singer, who had fought a very public battle with drug and alcohol problems for years, was found dead in bed at her London home on July 23 at age 27.

An initial autopsy proved inconclusive, although it found no traces of illegal drugs in her system or signs of injury.

Pathologist Suhail Baithun told the inquest into the singer’s death that blood and urine samples indicated that Winehouse had consumed a “very large quantity of alcohol” prior to her death. The level of alcohol in her blood was 416 milligrams per 100 milliliters, he said — a blood alcohol level of 0.4 percent.

Wizkid and Akon Duet On ‘Don’t Dull’ Remix

When the news on Nigerian pop singer Wizkid working with Senegalese American R&B recording artist and songwriter Akon surfaced a few months ago, Nigerians were excited for the lad who has had it going for the past one year – a successful debut album plus performing at mega shows and hey don’t forget the ‘Next Rated’ prize that got him a ‘Hyundai Sonata’ at The Headies last weekend.
Wizkid has given us another example to show how much Nigerian artistes and their music are recognized by their foreign counterparts – the buzz keeps getting bigger and with the signing of Don Jazzy, D’banj and the Mo’Hits crew to Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D Music label, we can now safely say the gap has been bridged.
If ‘Don’t Dull’ remix is to be a hit song, it would be because of the pedigree of the acts on it. The combination is what we are ecstatic about not the song in its real self. Akon follows Wizzy’s singing pattern as he fixes in his own lyrics.
