BACK ND BETTER: Wizkid spotted in EME campWizkid spotted in EME camp

DJ Xclusive, Shaydee and Wizkid
Is all back to normal?
Has Wizkid swallowed the bitter pill and returned home? These are some of the questions readers have asked us, since photos of the singer with EME signees Shaydee and  DJ Xclusive surfaced online.
Apparently, the trio who were escorted by a Hum-vee and security escorts drove down to Cotonou, Benin Republic for a music show going down tonight (April 5) happily took pictures 0f themselves as they journeyed to the neighbouring country.
Cotonou , we here! @djxclusive83 @shaydeeboi !! EME/STARBOY!!‘, Wizkid wrote as he posted a picture of himself, Shaydee and DJ Xclusive as soon as they landed Benin.
After the rumoured split from Banky W and parent record label EME, Wizkid went on to start up his own music label Star Boi Entertainment not long after he controversially declared his ‘freedom’ over social network Twitter. Don’t forget his absence from the stage at Banky’s ‘The Grand Love Project’ concert.
While fans and critics pondered on the situation, both parties tried to stay clear of the press and on rare occasions where they were cornered to speak about the situation, they assured fans everything was okay.
While Banky continued to assure fans that Wizzy was still a part of the EME family, Wizzy was less bothered, shooting videos without the EME emblem appearing in them. Wizzy later explained that he had started his own label but was still ‘part of the family.’
Insiders at the EME camp tell us the whole brouhaha started as a result of money issues; Wizkid was said to have suddenly ‘woken up’ and wanted a better deal than what the label was offering…
We guess they might have reached a reasonable conclusion and Wizzy is once again hoisted his EME flag…?

While snooping around about the Insignia car the comedian recently acquired, I found out something else he's been trying to keep secret. Basketmouth recently completed a multi million Naira home for his mum. The house is located in a really nice estate here in Lagos. Madam Okpocha has since moved into the house. Wow! #betterpikinthinz

Rapper Eva writes touching tribute to Goldie

ordiah
Eva
How do i begin this? It is already too difficult to talk about you using words like ‘Was’ when i really want to say ‘is’ and ‘Would have been’ when my heart whispers ‘Would be’.
This is absolute insanity. How one minute you are here, vibrant, happy, excited about all the work you have mapped out for 2013. How you stayed cheering me on, telling me how you admire me, how you want to be there to help, you stoop low enough till I can hop on your back and bear my weight on your shoulders, regardless of the luggage you already have on yours.
Isn’t it ironic how everyone hated you for this and that, when all you ever wanted to do was entertain them. What’s sad? They still have something bad to say even in your absence. I am sad! You were here before me, and when i stepped my skinny legs in this wicked place to explore my music, You were one of the few out doing something different. You stood out like yolks stand out of egg whites.
How you handled this evil, self-centred, ‘I-have-only-bad-things-to-say’ people for as long as you did is what baffles me.
You exhibited such strength, such outstanding emotional stamina that it seemed like you could do all wrong in their eyes and still stand, here, entertaining us from the bottom of your heart.
We had a conversation to finish Goldie! Remember? Now i feel like i would never be able to tell you what really happened contrary to what everyone thinks. I remember the last time i saw you, you were so mad at me for not telling you about me leaving the Label. And with good reason too! You hooked it all up didn’t you? So Goldie. Always ready to help. Sad when your friends are sad.
You said to me ‘Ehnnn? Eva you are not signed? Isssaalie! Are they blind? Let me talk to —- for you sharp sharp. He just got this new deal mehhnn, you must rock it oh. I won’t stop disturbing him till he signs you.
And off you went! You took it upon yourself to make sure your friend asked me to sign with his label. And how so stupid I was not to have told you first the minute shit hit the fan. I hope the little I was able to explain to you was of any good. (sigh)
All that is gone now.
Even you are gone. Life is Crazy.
I am grateful today, that I had the pleasure of working with you Goldie boo, traveling, touring, doing shows with you. I loved you from day one! Fresh into the university and without a clue what I wanted from life, there you were on my TV screen doing what most women didn’t dare. Even I didn’t understand you at first.
But I understood this one fact ‘You were YOU!’ And it hit me right there. I finally realized what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be me. ME! Without a care in the world what ‘they’ say as long as I am me. No compromise.
You didn’t just inspire and motivate me, you have kept me here.
If it wasn’t a phone call to find out if i was okay, it was a BB message to make me laugh my heart out.
My Dear Goldie, My sister, My friend…. I cannot ever answer the question why but I know that God never works without purpose. So i am not going to ask why either.
I am going through a lot right now, this is one of those times we would have had a BB conversation and you would have put my worrying mind at ease. But then I think about it, like you always noted, ‘I haven’t even scraped the surface of what you have’.
All the times you cried and carried the pain in your heart like an artery, all the times you thought about giving it all up and let your tears flood up your pillows like rain, they didn’t see that. Yet the little they saw they hated. They mocked. Their shallow minds could not comprehend it. 95 per cent of these are the same who have turned around now in your passing to offer words of kindness that you longed for while you were here. Haha !isn’t it amazing how they suddenly see how creative your videos were? Nwannem! Odikwa very strong tin!
Hmmmm….
You are gone now my love, as much as it kills me to type that out, I have to face it. If you are sitting on the right side of God our father, please beg him and intercede on my behalf while I Pray. As I go through the sort of things that you did, as I struggle to become somebody my parents are proud of, as I face this wicked place and its wicked people all by myself, as I say Goodbye to Friends who have become Foes overnight, as I stand in the midst of people who hate me for no reason and take it upon themselves like a day job to bring me down, intercede on my behalf dear Goldie. May the Lord answer my prayers…the same sort you prayed while you were here.
Thank you for letting me into your world even for a short time. What great blessing it is to have known the real you, the soft, kind-hearted, always-ready-for-a-good-laugh beautiful girl that you were.
I’m too sad.
Rest in Peace my friend, in the beautiful wonders of everlasting eternity where no one judges you.

Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw & Funke Akindele O in Tinapa for short film

A-list actresses Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw and Funke Akindele have been in Tinapa, Cross Rivers state for the past two weeks. The actresses have been posting photos of their time there on their respective Instagram pages but have never said what they are actually doing there.
I got the exclusive scoop for you...:-). The four actresses are in Tinapa for a  project which is a part reality show and part movie that EbonyLife TV, owned by TV host Mo Abudu, is putting together. The reality show/movie is being shot at Tinapa resort.
EbonyLife TV will debut on DSTV any moment from now and Nollywood is one of the few channels the CEO, Mo Abudu, wants to use to drive the channel and close sources have said her choice of Nollywood will be ‘new Nollywood’
The show sees the actresses collaborate in the production of a brilliant and pulsating short film that spotlights the plight of women across Africa who have to bear the pains of domestic abuse.

Kim Kardashian drama: ‘You could have flown me from Ghana!’, actress Juliet Ibrahim tells Darey

Popular Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim has added her voice to the chorus of those commenting on US TV reality star Kim Kardashian‘s recent trip to Nigeria…
She says she doesn’t see why top Nigerian R&B singer Darey would ‘pay so much money and fly Kim K down to Nigeria just for a 45 seconds intro’ on his Love Like a Movie concert, which held on Sunday, February 17, 2013.
Speaking (more like venting) on her Instagram page, the pretty actress said that Darey could have flown her in from Ghana and she would have ‘represented.’
Ok here’s my 2cents! Been reading comments about Darey’s concert and to be honest I don’t see why he will pay so much money and fly Kim k down to naija just for a 45sec intro on his show, like seriously! Bro, u could hv flown me from Gh and I would have represented! What did Kim k do for the 45 secs ? She stood and told a senseless story, I could have stood and told a sensible story about ghana on a Nigerian stage!‘, she wrote.
She also went on to say that African show promoters should shun foreign entertainers and focus on working with more African talents.
Lol no hard feelings but its about time we start appreciating our very own African talents then paying all these foreigners so much for 45seconds performances. Check me out, way hotter than some of them peeps una Dey pay big bucks for nothing better. #wordofadvice #momentoftruth
But those close to the organisers say Kim K’s visit actually went how it should. The reality TV star, according to the show’s producers, Soul Muzik, and a TV drop by Kim Kardashian herself, was to be special guest at a dinner with ‘platinum VIP guests’, co-host the LLAM red carpet session and open the show. We’re told she also did media rounds, sitting for at least two exclusive interviews, including this one with Beat FM’s Gbemi.
Despite all the drama, Darey’s ‘Love Like a Movie’ concert is being adjudged as one of Nigeria’s best events ever. And it doesn’t seem Darey and his label are considering responding to all the speculation about how much she was paid, or indeed, how much the big-budget concert gulped in total. Darey tweeted this morning: ‘Can’t even keep up with all these theories again! Which one is LASG paid dat insane amount for her? Fallacy…like everything else u hrd lol’.
