At least 13 band members of Christopher Oluranti a.k.a. Chris Abod escaped death by the whiskers when the vehicle they were travelling in ran into a stationery vehicle on the Lagos- Ibadan expressway recently.
9ja.Entertainment learned the band member were returning from a show in Oyo State when the driver of the chartered vehicle they were travelling in lost control and ran into damaged vehicle on the expressway.
Investigations revealed that the injured members were initially taken to the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State capital and when they were not attended to properly, the band leader Chris Abod who was in Lagos when the accident occurred was said to have travelled to Ibadan and took the victims to a private hospital in Lagos where they are currently receiving treatment.
Abod confirmed the incident, saying “thank God that six of the injured band members are out of the hospital but those with serious injuries are responding to treatment.”
The gospel singer, who was to launch his album titled ‘Blood of Jesus’ featuring Wasiu Alabi Pasuma next month, said he has put the launch on hold until his band members are out of the hospital.
