Fast-rising Eastern hiphop act, Slowdog, has been working hard in the studio and revving up to become one of the most respected Indigenous rappers in the game. The Anambra-born rapper spits in both English and Igbo with his natural accent; no “forming” at all, and you can hear everything he’s saying (understanding it doesn’t really matter at this point).
“Ekwe Ekwe” is the new single off Slowdog’s “Married Man 2 Be” album dropping next year. The hook, which basically means “Who no gree go gree”, was delivered by Phyno, one guy I rate highly. Phyno also drops some bars for good measure. Bump this joint right away. I fully endorse!
Produced by Phyno – Dude is sick with the instrumentals.
