That's a bit rude! Hayden Panettiere upstaged by male streaker at the MTV Europe Music Awards

Not many people can take the spotlight away from Hollywood starlet Hayden Panettiere.
But she was well and truly upstaged last night when a streaker ran up beside her at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Heroes actress was about to present the award for Best Song - which eventually went to Lady Gaga - when a naked man appeared on stage who we can exclusively reveal is David Monahan.

Monahan is a Northern Irish actor who has appeared in a number of sell out shows in his native country and is regarded as a serious stage talent.
His talent agency, who have provided talent for BBC, Channel 4 and HBO, confirmed to the Mail Online that David was the mystery naked streaker.
Viewers questioned whether the incident was just a publicity stunt for the event at Belfast's Odyssey Arena.
Some were annoyed that the word f*** was bleeped out when Selena Gomez said it but the naked man was uncensored.

The footage shows Monahan running with his hands in the air and looking shocked as he sees the thousands of people in the audience.

Hayden feigns shock and greets the streaker.
In a Northern Ireland accent, the Monahan says: 'Hello, apparently the only way out is back that way.'
Hayden apologises and her new friend says: 'It's not your fault. So um, enough about me, you were in that show Heroes' yeah?'

He tells her he's a big fan, to which she replies: 'Thank you... you should come grab a pint with us after.'
Monahan jokes: 'I would love that. Um, I don't have my phone on me though. You know what. I'll just leave you to it and I'll see you at the after show.'
He then jumps up and down and yells 'She was a cheerleader,' before running off.

When Hayden eventually presented Lady Gaga with the award for her song Born This Way, the singer cheekily thanked her by giving her a pat on the bottom.
And the actress' attire looked conservative compared to the wacky singer's.
Gaga donned a bizarre disc-like headpiece and metallic off-the-shoulder ensemble.
It was one of many costume changes for the star.
Hayden looked cute in this black and white patterned mini dress and black peep-toe heels.

Gaga made no reference to the streaker when she collected her award but the incident led to an array of shocked comments on Twitter.
One asked: 'Naked Guy was obviously staged. How would someone not catch him before he got on stage?'
Another said: MTV censors Selena saying f*** but not the naked guy running across the stage...... they've got their priorities straight.'

And a dedicated fan added of Selena's boyfriend: 'Dear MTV , Next time a naked dude runs around stage, Make sure its Justin Drew Bieber. Sincerely, Beliebers.'

Hayden also posed with Justin, who appearance on the show was watched eagerly following claims he fathered a child with a fan.
But the heartthrob will apparently take a DNA test to prove Mariah Yeater's four-month-old son is not his.
